Catholic Independent Schools requires a
. 50 FTE Cooking Career Ed & Art Teacher at St. Anthonys School K 9 in Kitimat BC
This is a .50 FTE teacher position begins September 1 2025 ending June 30 2026.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for a British Columbia Teaching Certificate. Successful candidates must be current in teaching practices and understand the BC Curriculum: e.g. Learning Standards Assessment for Learning (AFL) practice and core competencies. A commitment to Catholic values and lifestyle is essential.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
- active membership in a Catholic parish
- commitment to excellence in Catholic education
- Aptitude to differentiate instruction based on student needs
- Experience using innovative teaching methods in both primary and intermediate classrooms
- Well-versed in the ability to integrate Catholic culture in the classroom
- Excellent and proven classroom management skills
- Exceptional communication strategies with students staff and parents.
- a genuine sense of joy in teaching and learning
- the desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities
