Job Summary:Electrician Location: Position will cover Pittsburgh and New Castle Facilities The Electrician is a member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing electrical and electronic maintenance support for plant facilities and wages from$33/hour (based on experience)$1000 SIGN ON BONUSpaid throughout your first year of employment.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Installing and maintaining AC and DC industrial electrical equipment and control systems
- Installing and maintainingelectrical equipment and systems i.e. installing electrical conduit connecting to fixtures and power equipment installing control and distribution apparatus connecting cables to equipment and installing grounding leads testing of circuit continuity and observing to detect hazards adjustments relocation or replacement.
- Maintaining and installing electronic controls i.e. CNC and solid state controls troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment to board or component level.
- Repairing electrical and electronic equipment i.e. Utilizing schematics and blueprints. Using test equipment and basic tools.
- Reading/interpreting blueprints drawings and sketches
- Mentoring less experienced/knowledgeableco-workers
- Following companyguidelines and directives
- Performing various assigned department duties
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions: - Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with heat noise dust and vibration
- This position has consistent daily physical demands
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or electrical apprenticeship is a plus*
- Basic math skills required
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Primarily day shift but must be available for call in when outages or breakdowns occur.
*Technical Degree or completion of an Apprenticeship Program in electrical/electronic maintenance with 5 to 10 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial setting is preferred but not the absence of technical or apprenticeship education a minimum of 5 years experience is required. SFS will provide an accredited certificate Apprentice Training Program.Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
