Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

In this Business Development Manager role this individual will be responsible for setting strategy identifying evaluating and executing growth opportunities in support of U.S. Energys vision. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the refined products value chain strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of structuring and closing deals.

This position will be located in Houston TX.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities (acquisition existing asset enhancement lease etc.) in the energy space
  • Monitor market trends regulatory developments and competitor activity to inform strategy
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and partnerships
  • Build financial models and business cases to support investment decisions
  • Collaborate with legal finance and technical teams to ensure deal viability and compliance
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including refiners marketers traders logistics providers and regulatory bodies
  • Represent the company at industry conferences trade shows and client meetings
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to evaluate technical feasibility and support project development
  • Assist in permitting regulatory filings and stakeholder engagement for new infrastructure projects
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development activities market intelligence and project progress
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy operations legal and finance to align business development efforts with corporate goals
  • Develop key performance metrics to own and drive accountability for decisions
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products and policies
  • Mentor develop and assist in the training of fellow team members

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in a business -related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in business development commercial strategy or related roles within energy including a strong background in customer service with a proven record of driving profitability.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of one or more of the following industries: Asset operations pipeline terminal connectivity capability and project evaluation.
  • Advanced knowledge of the related industry with application technical managerial experience a plus
  • Ability to make key project and integration plan decisions
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Good listener and strong written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to work independently in meeting and exceeding goals from home office
  • Entrepreneurial goal driven action oriented self-motivated
  • Able to deal with a variety of people and situations in a positive and open minded manner
  • Well organized and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive business relationships
  • Ability to project a positive image to customers
  • Operational and project management knowledge
  • Ability to travel as needed for evaluation and vetting of projects.
