Summary:
The Funding Consultant is responsible for assisting the client servicing teams throughout the onboarding of new clients by coordinating the transition of assets from prior institutions to Northern. Global Client Onboarding (GCO) is a central support group for both Wealth Management and Corporate & Institutional client servicing teams with the capability to deliver an array of processing efficiencies ensuring best practice and a consistent client/partner experience. The GCO Account Funding Team is responsible for delivering middle office services to Wealth Management throughout the onboarding of new business life cycle and client restructure events; facilitating communication and information flow between/among partner groups and outside parties.
Major Duties:
1. Facilitate activities required to validate documentation and transition assets.
2. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems within established guidelines.
3. Expected to use some initiative but refer more complex problems to supervisors/experts.
4. Works effectively as a team member but also independently.
5. Knowledgeable of the core aspects of the job.
6. Working towards becoming proficient in all areas of the job.
7. Running and creating formal reports.
8. Interact with internal partner groups external parties or with the clients to provide resolution to client issues and requests.
Knowledge / Skills:
Strong attention to detail as activities may have significant financial client or business impact.
Will have interaction with internal partner groups external parties or may have direct contact with our clients therefore communication/interpersonal skills required.
Able to multitask with a focus on organization and time management. Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to present information in a clear and concise manner.
In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required.
Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Peoplesoft) is required.
Experience:
A College/University degree with 1-2 years of experience in financial trust and custody services security industry or other related client servicing experience are preferred.
Salary Range:
$43200 - 64800 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
