Marketing Teacher Chapter 74 Program 25-26 SY
We are in need of a dynamic individual to join our team!
Job Title: Chapter 74 Marketing Teacher
Job Goal: To prepare students for careers in the Marketing field and to instill the employability and professionalism skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
The Team & Learning Environment: The Marketing instructor will use both teaching and industry experience to instruct students to develop the technical skills they need to be competitive in the workforce. The department is overseen by the Director of Career and Technical Education who along with the teachers works with a Program Advisory Committee comprised of area business leaders parents and students to ensure our curriculum and equipment align with industry demands.
Mentoring: Teachers who are new to the profession will be matched with a veteran teacher who will serve as a mentor and provide guidance on lesson planning student management assessments and grading etc.
Qualifications: Eligible applicants mustpossess a Chapter 74 Marketing license from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the delivery of instruction of Marketing in accordance with departmental curriculum objectives and the MA CVTE Curriculum Frameworks.
2. Utilize and follow Marketing curriculum frameworks.
3. Establish and maintain a professional classroom/shop environment with an emphasis on shop safety strong work ethic and mastery of skills.
4. Attend General Advisory Committee meetings.
5. Establish and implement specific goals in accordance with district-wide school-wide and department requirements.
6. Support the Director of CTE in recommending program improvement equipment & supply purchases and grant preparation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. MA DESE Teachers license (Chapter 74) in Marketing
2. Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies with curriculum frameworks.
3. Full-time employment experience directly related to Marketing and/or teaching experience.
4. Competency in software related to Marketing.
5. Competency in the use of computer applications and instructional technology to aid in the interactive delivery of instruction.
