We are looking for a Manager Business Intelligence to join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Dir Business Intelligence & Proposal Management and is based in San Jose CA.
Role Summary
Bloom Energy is seeking a strategic and data-driven Manager of Business Intelligence to lead market and competitive intelligence efforts that directly support executive decision-making and commercial strategy. This role will be central to delivering high-impact insights supporting strategic planning and building scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep research on competitors technologies and market dynamics across core and emerging geographies.
- Deliver monthly market watch insights customer briefing documents and executive-ready materials.
- Support strategic deliverables including Board materials and QBRs.
- Lead market sizing and forecasting efforts using scenario-based modeling across segments and geographies.
- Build robust Excel-based models to support strategic decisions and pricing guidance.
- Track market fundamentals around gas and electricity prices in key markets and incorporate insights into strategic deliverables and pricing guidance.
- Build and maintain a centralized market intelligence database with vetted sources automated data pulls and defined update cycles.
- Socialize and iterate the database architecture with internal stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor a small team fostering a culture of ownership curiosity and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of insights aligned with editorial calendars and strategic priorities.
- Partner with Sales Strategy Policy and Enablement teams to align intelligence efforts with business goals.
- Contribute to competitive positioning objection handling and market outlooks for target geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience in the energy industry with understanding of key technologies market dynamics and policy frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling and data analysis; familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills especially in executive settings.
