From next generation engineering plastics to material solutions for circular economy opportunities abound for ground-breaking R&D that lets you be creative and imaginative yet analytical and precise.
The internship program will be in the summer of 2026 offered at our Baytown TX site and lasts approximately 12 weeks.
Major Responsibilities:
As an intern in the Innovation Management you will work with the site transformation team to support our business units circular economy targets new application and product development teams through formulation processing design and testing of Covestro materials and applications. The selected individual may have the opportunity to work with senior chemists and engineers in a fast-paced technology environment and become actively involved in the day-to-day operations at the site or supporting of new technology development.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Material Science or related fields
- Completion of Sophomore year or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interactand establish strong working relationships with diverse individuals.
- Project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative effective technical solutions.
- Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
