What you bring to SBHG(qualifications):
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology Associate degree preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting
Minimum of one (1) year of medication administration experience
Valid California LVN or LPT license
Valid California Drivers License preferred
How you will make a difference(job overview):
The LVN/LPT provides direct client care including medications. Maintains vigilance over the general milieu within the facility to facilitate quality client care optimum facility operations and preserve the safety of all therein. Visually and audibly observes documents in writing and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition of patients to the Registered Nurse in charge of the facility on the shift and the attending physician. Orders prepares administers and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication(s) from pharmacy on shift worked. Responsible for writing summary on clients as assigned. Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans organizes and directs the nursing activities of the unit (when needed and assigned) to assure quality care delivery.

Rapid mental health assessment crisis intervention and medication support
Walk-ins welcome
Clients may stay up to 24 hours
BHUCC equipped to serve 12 adults (ages 18 and up) and 6 adolescent (ages 13 to 17)
