Join a dynamic team transforming transportation through innovative data engineering. At Amazon Global Air youll architect data infrastructures that drive strategic insights and revolutionize how we deliver customer experiences worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data warehouse and data lake infrastructures using advanced AWS technologies
- Extract and analyze complex structured and unstructured datasets from diverse sources
- Develop sophisticated ETL processes to create unified data models for analytics and reporting
- Conduct comprehensive source-system and data transformation analyses
- Architect and maintain production data pipelines that support critical business systems

Youll design sophisticated data pipelines transform complex datasets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to unlock actionable intelligence. Every project you touch will directly impact our global logistics operations making each line of code a catalyst for operational excellence.
About the team
We are a passionate group of data professionals dedicated to empowering Amazon Global Airs mission. Our team combines technical expertise with a customer-centric mindset transforming raw data into strategic insights that drive operational efficiency and customer delight.
- 5 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python Java Scala or NodeJS
- Experience communicating with users other technical teams and management to collect requirements describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop Hive Spark EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
- Masters degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
