Expert Consultant – Contingent Worker

Essential Job Duties:

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by working with the team to ensure projects conducted are completed on time to budget and to the desired quality for regulatory submission. This includes peer review of documents writing high level summaries complex assessments and position papers as well as involvement in/ attendance at meetings with regulatory authorities (30%).

• Be responsible for providing high level regulatory and scientific advice to clients management and departmental regulatory staff having gained a clear understanding of the clients regulatory strategy and objectives (25%).

• Promote growth of the CP&C Regulatory Consultancy & testing businesses by providing regulatory and scientific support to commercial teams. This includes occasional co-travelling with the sales teams on customer visits contributing to client visits to Labcorp sites leading project design conducting issue management advice (both client & in-house) and working with marketing on the full range of platforms to promote CP&C. Be active in providing support and training of other team members in specialist skills area(s) (15%).

• Keep abreast of and communicate to the regulatory team new regulatory and scientific developments in order to help plan/focus the development for CP&C Regulatory Consultancy and testing businesses in area/s of expertise (10%).

• Actively develop new and maintain existing relationships with regulatory authorities industry bodies and scientific working forums. Additionally use experience and scientific expertise to help build the companys profile and credibility at external conferences and meetings (10%).

• Be responsible for own performance; includes timely and accurate recording of hours worked attainment of billability targets sourcing work opportunities with team members proactive management of objectives and professional development plus any other set performance indicators (5%).

• Responsible for pro-actively suggesting process improvements to systems processes and infrastructure within CP&C Regulatory to ensure effective and efficient performance (5%).

Experience:

Minimum Required:

• Significant (>15 years) experience in a chemical or biological related science within the regulatory testing or consultancy sectors

• An industry profile with established relationships with relevant contacts within Regulatory Authorities and CP&C customers

Education:

• BSc/PhD (relevant experience which may be substituted for level of education)
