Fall Advancement Intern

About the Program

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education is offering a dynamic Fall Advancement Internship at Archbishop Carroll High School for college students interested in nonprofit development alumni relations communications and fundraising. Interns will work directly with experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interns will contribute to strategic development efforts across the following areas:
  • Support communication strategies to engage alumni
  • Assist with planning and coordination of reunions and alumni events
  • Maintain and update alumni databases

Alumni Relations

  • Support communication strategies to engage alumni
  • Assist with planning and coordination of reunions and alumni events
  • Maintain and update alumni databases

Fundraising & Appeals

  • Assist in developing content for annual fund appeals (digital and print)
  • Help organize events such as donor receptions and school fundraisers
  • Provide event support and logistical planning assistance

Event Planning

  • Help organize events such as donor receptions and school fundraisers
  • Provide event support and logistical planning assistance

Social Media & Marketing

  • Create content and assist with updates for school social media accounts
  • Promote fundraising and community engagement initiatives

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled college students
  • Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

Program Highlights

  • Mentorship: Interns will be matched with a mentor from the Advancement Office
  • Professional Development: Includes training in Raisers Edge CRM project management etc.
  • Networking: Monthly gatherings (virtual/in-person) with fellow interns
  • College Credit: Documentation and support provided for students receiving academic credit
