Job Description

Position Summary
The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager seeks and builds relationships with corporate and private foundation partners to grow philanthropic support for CCSEM charitable programs. This includes but is not limited to grant seeking grant writing and reporting activities. This is a forward-facing position reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer and is an integral member of the management team collaborating with program leaders to garner support.
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Qualifications Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • This position requires knowledge normally acquired by completing a bachelors degree in business public administration nonprofit management communications or a related field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Substantial experience can be taken into consideration for the education requirement.
  • Two years of professional experience across a combination of many or all the following fields of work including fundraising communications public relations sales or community engagement.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of external and internal audiences including clergy diocesan leadership corporate and community leaders board members staff and donors.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word Excel PowerPoint); grant management software and CRM database software experience a plus.
  • Servant leader with a collaborative approach to work; experience working on a team preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple streams of work.
  • Knowledge of teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church preferred.
  • Successful completion of initial and on-going employment screens including but not limited to criminal background sex offender drug screen OIG valid Michigan drivers license abuse and neglect and vehicle record check as required.
