Elasticsearch Software Engineer Test/Automation
Location: Salt Lake City Utah - Hybrid
Job Description
Were seeking a full-time software engineer to help develop our industry-leading cyber security solutions. Youll be working in an Agile environment to help design and build scalable technology that drives our companys success with a focus on automated and ad-hoc testing of our Elasticsearch-based data platform. The team is based in Salt Lake City Utah.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the architecture development and testing of scalable Elasticsearch applications
Research and apply cutting edge ad-hoc testing and automation techniques to raise the quality of each product release.
Draft refine execute and track detailed test plans and test cases.
Work closely with engineering teams to analyze and resolve bugs in the Agile/Scrum workflow offering clear constructive feedback.
Assist in producing training materials that support product adoption and understanding.
Required Knowledge and Experience
3 years professional experience with Elasticsearch applications using related technologies (Kibana Logstash Beats) Query DSL proficiency
Experience deploying/administering/testing Elasticsearch (on-premises preferred) including: Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) installation & administration index lifecycle management storage implementation and backup/recovery
Experience writing integrating and executing automated tests.
Experience with ad-hoc testing.
Experience with test automation tools such as: Playwright Selenium etc.
Experience with server virtualization (VMware ESXi/vSphere).
Proficiency with Ansible and familiarity with YAML and JSON and related tools.
Experience deploying applications to AWS and/or Azure in production environments.
Nice to Have
RDBMS experience
Kibana dashboard creation
Machine learning experience
Programming skills (Java Python)
Linux BASH and security best practices
Experience with CI/CD tools (Gitlab Jenkins GitLab Runners Artifactory)
Qualifications
Ability to obtain US Government-issued secret security clearance
BS Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Security or equivalent work experience
Strong problem-solving communication and customer service skills
Excellent time management and ability to work independently on multiple projects
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$125100.00-148499.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates unique experience locale and business addition to a base salary and bonus plans Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO a 401k match and contribution to healthcare coverages.
