Job Description

Highways Technology Engineer (NHSS8/HERS)

  • Highways Technology Engineer (NHSS8/HERS)
  • Home-based (UK-wide)
  • 6 month Contract
  • Market Rates

The Opportunity:

I am currently looking for a NHSS8/HERS accredited Highways Technology Engineer to engage on a contract basis to support the ongoing maintenance and commissioning of technology assets on major highways projects.

You will come from a background dealing with roadside technology such as HADECS VMS NRTS street lighting etc. with a good understanding of Highways Agency Technology kit and equipment.

Skills and Experience:

  • A background in roadside technology or Intelligent Transport Systems particularly for major UK roads
  • Currently accredited with NHSS8/HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme)
  • Previous experience working with speed cameras traffic counters or ANPR cameras would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of installation of motorway equipment/cabling
  • Full drivers licence
