Job Description:
Reports to Director Design. You will contribute to the development and design across all our Preschool/Collectibles toy category They will work hand in hand with Hong Kong/North America Design Teams and Asia Engineering and Product Development teams to help deliver a product line that exceeds the business and customers expectations.
What will you work on
Primary responsibility is to act as a bridge assisting the Hong Kong/North America designers to drive their vision through development.
Successful candidate will work closely with Spin Masters Far East engineering teams model shops and vendors to provide on site design input on products through all stages of development. (From initial briefing through model making to production)
Design input will focus on aesthetics and play pattern.
Travelling throughout China will be required.
What are your skills and experience
Experience working with remote design teams in North America or Europe.
Experience in toy design.
Ability to draw/sketch product a clear visual communicator.
Clear communicator in English both written and spoken.
Solid knowledge of production techniques including injection moulding cut and sew and decoration methods.
Experience providing cost down suggestions.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
Good sense of product design.
University undergraduate in Industrial Design or equivalent.
At least 5 years design experience (Toy industry preferred).
