Senior Consultant - Risk Transformation Canberra
The opportunity
As a Senior Consultant in our Risk Consulting practice you will work closely with teams of professionals from diverse backgrounds contributing to the delivery of high-quality client services. Youll support project execution monitor progress and apply your technical expertise and professional knowledge. Youll also play a key role in building strong client relationships and identifying potential opportunities for future engagements.
You will support clients in understanding and managing their business risks while ensuring the integrity of critical information. Youll deliver independent risk and project assurance insights to help drive strategic outcomes advise on best practices in project and program management and provide valuable input to inform decision-making. Your work will contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale purpose-driven initiatives.
This role is based in Canberra Ngambri; however we are open to candidates located anywhere across the Australia who can work remotely. All you need is relevant experience and Australian Citizenship. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of internal audit engagements by contributing to the development of audit plans assessing internal controls and addressing compliance financial operational and strategic risks aligned with professional standards.
- Advise clients on understanding and managing business risks validating critical business information and staying informed on emerging trends to provide relevant forward-thinking assurance insights.
- Build strong client relationships by meeting service expectations and contributing positively to team discussions with energy fresh ideas and a collaborative mindset.
Skills and attributes for success
Were looking for a motivated Senior Consultant with 3-5 experience in risk transformation to support the delivery of a large multi-year program of this role youll contribute to the day-to-day execution of individual assurance reviews across a range of program and project-specific topics.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in business project management accounting or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA CIA PRINCE2 P3M3 or other project assurance governance or risk-related accreditations are highly regarded.
- Prior experience in risk management internal audit risk transformation policy review or program/project management along with a good understanding of project methodologies and best practices.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations. Flexibility to travel may be required to meet client needs.
Ideally youll also have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.
- A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team to advise clients on how to manage IT risks and accelerate performance.
- The ability to inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services
