The Role

As the Food & Beverage Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rhythm & Beans cafe ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction maintaining quality standards and supervising staff. This role involves managing schedules inventory and providing excellent service and generally stoking out our customers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise and support cafe staff in daily operations including baristas servers and kitchen staff.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures ensuring the cafe is ready for operation each day.
• Manage staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely ordering of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Assist in training new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for current staff.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards for food and beverages.
• Handle cash transactions reconcile daily sales and prepare deposits.
• Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
  

What you need to succeed:

• Japanese-English Bilingual: Comfortable working primarily in English while also able to communicate effectively with local suppliers in Japanese.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Flexible schedule including availability on weekends and holidays.
