This is a Stanford Health Care job.

A Brief Overview
The SR IT Program Manager is authority has been vested for the coordination and management of the IT scope timeline budget stat using and delivery of multiple projects to achieve tactical and strategic enterprise benefits. This position will work closely with the Implementation Project Manager to ensure appropriate coordination of project deliverables.

What you will do
  • Assures the coordination and integration of all projects and assists with the continual alignment of projects to business goals and objectives.
  • Consolidates and coordinates the management of common and disparate activities risk quality knowledge coordination issues resources and scope among multiple projects.
  • Conducts appropriate and effective communications (both upward and downward) keeping all members of the multiple project teams informed.
  • Institutes mechanisms to capture and assess all issues that may have an impact on the enterprise.
  • Identifies gaps or overlaps among multiple projects and directs appropriate action.
  • Keeps senior management informed of likely cost duration and required management involvement.
  • Alert Project Managers & Leads to all aspects of project changes risks and their required involvement.
  • Defines the overall delivery strategy and monitors the schedule across multiple projects.
  • Insures that projects target benefits are on track to predetermined milestones.
  • Ensures project initiating planning executing controlling and closing mechanisms are in place for the effective and efficient execution of the projects.
  • Continually assesses and manages risk and associated mitigation strategies.
  • Assure that needs and concerns of all stakeholders are documented and follow the appropriate escalation path. Will strive to address and avoid conflict where possible across multiple projects.
  • Defines and manages overall communications of project status. Ensures all stakeholders receive project status communication that is sufficient in frequency and detail.
  • Reports to the enterprise leadership on overall progress benefits costs issues and risk in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with the functional departments to ensure effective post implementation support resources and processes are in place.
  • Continually negotiates assesses and manages vendor/subcontractor service level agreement/contract performance.
  • Continually assesses and manages cost management with the overall project (in conjunction with IT Budget Personnel).
  • Develops implements and sustains the effectiveness of the project quality and process improvement guidelines in harmony with PMO guidelines.
  • Ensures issues are resolved and decisions made promptly so that the multiple projects can progress in the time-frame.
  • Assesses internal and external change requests and manages scope.
  • Monitors exceptions to identify and proactively manage deviations in progress trends and problems.
  • Coordinates external project audits. Serves as point of contact for all external audit initiatives.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology or Healthcare field.

Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the software/system development and Health Care industries.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and PROBLEM-SOLVING skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • PMP and/or Agile Scrum Practitioner certification a plus.
  • Experience with responsive design and native applications on mobile platform a plus.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $81.53 - $108.02 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
