Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer with expertise in designing implementing and maintaining large-scale networks. The ideal candidate will hold both CCIE and CCNP certifications and have a strong understanding of network protocols routing switching and network security. The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability performance and security of our network infrastructure.
- Design implement and maintain network architecture
- Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis
- Configure and manage network devices (routers switches firewall etc)
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. development operations) to ensure network alignment with business objectives
- Develop and implement network monitoring and reporting tools
- Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and trends
- V-LAN in-depth knowledge
- Familiar with OTDR OFC trouble shooting
Requirements
Bachelors degree (BSc/BE) in computer science Information Technology or any related field
CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) certification
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in network operations
Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP etc.)
Experience with network security technologies (firewalls VPNs etc.)
Experience in network design implementation and capacity planning
Experience with Cisco Juniper Fortinet devices and updates. Proficient in maintaining network configurations and documentation

- Ensure latency remains below defined thresholds for optimal performance.

- Accuracy in network configuration changes and documentation.

- Increase automation of routine tasks by a defined percentage to improve efficiency.

Nice to Have
- Experience with network automation tools (e.g. Ansible Python)
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure)
- Experience with network management software (e.g. SolarWinds Nagios)
