Job Description
Position Description:
In this role An Authorization Consultant in SAP S/4HANA plays a crucial role in ensuring that users have the correct access rights to perform their job functionsno more no less.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design & Management
Create and manage roles and authorizations using SAP tools like PFCG (Profile Generator).
Design roles based on business processes and job responsibilities.
Ensure segregation of duties (SoD) to prevent conflicts of interest.
Access Management
Assign roles to users and manage user master records.
Handle user provisioning and de-provisioning.
Audits & Compliance
Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g. SOX GDPR).
Use tools like SAP GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) to manage risks and monitor access.
& Support
Analyze and resolve authorization errors (e.g. missing access transaction failures).
Work with functional and technical teams to support authorization testing during project phases.
5.S/4HANA-Specific Tasks
Adapt roles for Fiori apps and tile catalogs/groups.
Understand HANA database-level security and analytic privileges.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Extensive experience (5 years) in SAP security and authorization management
Proven expertise in configuring and administering SAP security tools and processes
Strong understanding of SAP security frameworks access control user provisioning and risk management
Familiarity with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g. GDPR NIST ISO 27001)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate security risks
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proactive and collaborative approach to working in a cross-functional environment
Experience working with the tools below will be an added advantage:-
