DescriptionThis role will assist with the development of all aspects of marketing connected with retail business focusing on driving sales growth and margin enhancement. This role works effectively cross functionally with product marketing brand marketing finance supply chain and customer teams to develop sales tools category marketing plans marketing content & category analysis to identify trends and recommendations to drive sales performance. This role is the key liaison and quarterback across the sales team and internal functions that ensures a cohesive customer & consumer facing plan.
JOB DUTIES:
BUSINESS & MARKETING PLANNING
- Work within defined strategies and associated tactics on an annual basis to drive business performance. These plans are centered on marketplace and competitive dynamics and assist in building a comprehensive and creative plan of attack.
- Evaluate data such as revenue margin POS inventory positions and turns to inform strategic recommendations.
- Build knowledge of the competitive marketplace and industry to recommend pricing & promotional approaches that optimize sell-through fulfill retailer objectives and improve company financial performance.
- Contributes to financial and business initiatives through established rhythms and assigned projects. Examples include pricing review CDRM and P&L performance.
FINANCIAL GOAL ACHIEVEMENT
- Stay focused on budgeted revenue and profitability targets and assist in developing plans to adjust as needed as the year progresses.
- Assist in developing and understanding P&L.
COMMERCIAL LAUNCH PLANNING & EXECUTION
- Work in partnership with NPI leader to build winning plans that leverage new product launches to grow and take market share.
- Working closely with product and brand marketing the best ways to capitalize on new products while building plans materials and assets for the customer base.
- Assist with developing consumer facing marketing plans digitally and in brick and mortar.
PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN CREATION & IMPLEMENTATION
- Consolidate customer promotional calendars & consumer marketing calendars and ensure customer and consumer facing promotions are aligned.
- Utilize performance metrics and analytics to gauge program effectiveness and adjust future proposals.
CUSTOMER PRESENTATION AUTHORSHIP (i.e. Line Reviews Sales Meetings JBP QBR)
- Assemble content from across business functions in clear well-developed professional visually appealing presentations that can influence decision makers.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 1 years marketing experience including internships or academic projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word and PowerPoint with the ability to create documents presentations and simple data reports.
- Experience working collaboratively with team members and external partners to support shared goals and deliver results.
