Full-Time Art History Faculty (Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait)

Start Date: Fall 2025
Position requires relocation; only candidates unaccompanied by dependents are eligible.
American International University (AIU) is seeking a full-time faculty member in Art History to join the School of Architecture and Design. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring educator who is passionate about teaching mentoring and engaging students in the study of art history within an international academic environment.
The successful candidate will bring subject expertise teaching excellence and the ability to connect historical and contemporary art to the broader context of design and culture.
Position Overview:
- Teach undergraduate art history courses in one or more areas: ancient medieval early modern modern or contemporary art history.
- Develop engaging interactive learning experiences that promote critical and creative thinking.
- Advise and mentor students supporting their academic growth and professional aspirations.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement within the School of Architecture and Design.
- Engage in research scholarly activity and participation in professional conferences and exhibitions.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Art History preferred; Masters degree in Art History or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of university-level teaching preferred.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching curriculum development and student mentorship.
- Active scholarly record including publications or presentations in the field.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Experience working in culturally diverse academic environments is highly desirable.
