We are now looking for a Principle Research Scientist for our Shanghai R&D Center. You will work with teammate for new product development (polymer and sizing). You will together with global R&D and APAC manufacture teams to scale up and commercialize new products to support business needs.
Kemira R&D and Technology is a critical enabler within Kemira securing organic growth and further differentiation in the market through co-creation and innovation with our customers.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Develop new polymer products or new catalysts for organic reaction
- Generate new ideas to broaden Kemira products portfolio
- Complete lab experiment independently and efficiently
- Collaborate with Global R&D sister team scientists on new products development
- Support APAC manufacturing sites process upgrades
What youll bring to the team:
- PhD/MSc degree in organic chemistry & polymer chemistry from an accredited college/university
- Over 5 years of experience in chemical industrial
- Management experience as team manager or multiple project manager role in the past.
- Rich knowledge in molecular design
- Strong hands on synthesis experimental skill in laboratory.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of wet chemistry analysis or instrument analysis
- Able to effectively communicate scientific results both orally and in written reports demonstrated by external publications.
- Is capable of working well in a team environment.
- Fluent in both oral and written English
