The Louisiana Department of Treasury serves as the financial backbone of the state safeguarding and optimizing the use of public funds. Our mission is to promote prudent cash management and investment strategies while regulating coordinating and monitoring state and local debt obligations as mandated by the Constitution and laws of Louisiana.
The Office of State Depository Control is responsible for managing the States cash management banking and fund control programs. The Fiscal Control Division ensures that all monies deposited in the Treasury are safeguarded accurately accounted for and disbursed in compliance with constitutional and statutory requirements for the benefit of Louisianas citizens.

Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license plus three years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

About the Role:
The State Treasury Fiscal Control Assistant Director serves as a key leader in the Fiscal Control Division assisting the Director in managing and overseeing the Treasurys fund control cash management banking and local government fund management. This role carries broad responsibility for administering the states constitutional and statutory funds ensuring proper accounting of all receipts and controlling disbursements of public funds as directed by the Louisiana Legislature.
The Assistant Director also oversees the distribution of major statewide programs such as Revenue Sharing the Transportation Trust Fund severance tax allocations and supplemental pay programs. This position works closely with legislative and executive leadership provides technical guidance to state agencies and serves as a liaison on fiscal matters impacting the State of Louisiana.
