UW Veterinary Care Pharmacy is a full-service licensed pharmacy that supports our veterinary patients through both inpatient and outpatient services. Our Pharmacy Technicians rotate through a variety of stations throughout the week including sterile compounding of injections non-sterile compounding of capsules and suspensions outpatient data entry and prescription filling stocking automated dispensing cabinets and assisting customers with prescription pick up.

Anticipated schedule for this vacancy is Monday - Friday from 10:00am - 6:30pm with rotating weekends.

$18.00 per hour minimum

Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail
Effective teamwork and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in pharmaceutical calculations
Ability to read and interpret prescription requests accurately
Ability to prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products including but not limited to the use and manipulation of a mortar and pestle and syringes and needles
Physical Requirements:
Constant standing and walking
Constant handling grasping eye/hand/foot coordination and repetitive motions
Frequent carrying up to 50 pounds
Frequent reaching
Occasional lifting pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds
Occasional climbing balancing stooping kneeling and crouching
Prior experience working in a pharmacy
High School Diploma Required
Associates Degree Preferred
Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
