Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews physician orders for entry into pharmacy computer
- Assists pharmacist in preparation for medications IV solutions and maintenance of records. Assures pharmacist checks all orders before medication is delivered.
- Makes rounds to the patient care areas picking up orders and delivering medications and IV solutions prepared.
- Accurately fills medication
- Prepackages bulk drugs into unit-dose packages maintains
- Participates in inventory control activities determines supplies needed to maintain adequate inventory and reorders as necessary.
- Unpacks verifies and stores medications received from wholesaler and
- Completes all projects or additional duties as
EDUCATION/Experience:
- High school diploma or the
- Possession of a current Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
