We are excited to announce an opening for the General Manager Power Plant position in the Dangote Cement Plc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies that aim to achieve cost-efficient and effective operations of the Power Plant.
- Plan organize coordinate and control the operations of the Power Plant while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Oversee the schedules and manage the performance of the Power Plant personnel to ensure the smooth execution of operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers contractors and other relevant parties.
- Monitor and ensure that the Power Plant operates within its budget and report on any variances.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Promote a positive work environment that fosters teamwork communication and employee growth.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Plant Director from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 21 Years experience in Gas Turbine based power plants Instrumentation maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance preferably in combined cycle plants with gas turbines.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing budgets.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure.
