Job Description

Sales Manager - Sensormatic Solutions

*Employed by Johnson Controls K.K. and seconded to Tyco International Japan GK.

Job Description: As a Sales Manager for Sensormatic Solutions you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by managing existing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. This role encompasses account management business development and channel management making it essential for fostering strong partnerships and expanding our market presence.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement strategies that align with customer needs and corporate objectives. You will be accountable for achieving sales targets ensuring customer satisfaction and leading the development of our channel partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing Tier 1 Retail clients ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to drive value.
  • New Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new logo opportunities within targeted market segments driving demand generation and sales growth.
    • Qualify and prioritize major opportunities aligning with sales strategy and ensuring a consistent approach across all customer interactions.
  • Channel Management:
    • Recruit enable and develop channel partners to maximize revenue and market reach.
    • Implement core channel programs tools and incentives to drive positive channel results while minimizing conflict.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing solution architects and service delivery to create compelling value propositions and sales strategies.
    • Lead the sales closure process ensuring compliance with Sensormatic Solutions sales methodologies and practices.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance pipeline status and market trends.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations on account plans and strategic direction during monthly reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Native Japanese and fluent English ability.
  • 7-10 years of experience in high-tech sales business development or account management particularly within the Retail and Technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex sales cycles and closing deals with multiple stakeholders ideally with a history of selling multi-solution portfolios to Tier 1 clients.
  • Extensive experience in solution selling particularly in RFID and loss prevention technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the Retail industry and experience in building and expanding partner ecosystems.
  • Blended technical expertise in relevant solutions enabling effective communication of value propositions to clients.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels including CxO.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and effectively manage client relationships.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Able to negotiate deals where Sensormatic Solutions is not the low-cost provider
  • In-depth customer knowledge
  • Acts as a Strategic Partner Trusted Advisor
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams in order to achieve customer objectives
  • Motivated with an exceptional ability to work in a diverse collaborative team environment.
