Parker Stewart is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a leading manufacturer based in Kilkenny.
The successfulFacilities Manager will be responsible for all hard and soft services for the manufacturing site. This includes facility planning and day-to-day management the design planning planning construction and maintenance of equipment machinery and addition to planning and budgeting for all facility projects.
You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing facility/utility projects in an environment of continuous improvement ensuring the site delivers safe and effective products that meet customer needs whilst maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance offacilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Develop and implement facility maintenance schedules ensuring that all equipment and systems are operational and compliant with regulations.
- Manage budgets for facility operations maintenance and improvements optimizing costs while maintaining high standards.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for repairs maintenance and renovations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand facility needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Develop emergency preparedness plans and ensure all staff are trained on safety protocols.
- Monitor and review facility-related metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Facility Management Engineering Architecture or related field.
- Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of facility management best practices and regulations.
- Excellent organizational leadership and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related environment preferably within a medical or health-related organization.
- Experience with managing service contracts and vendor relations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance in a workplace setting.
- Proficiency in facility management software and technology.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions quickly.
