About the Role
As a Dance Social Media Specialist at Rebel Athleticyoull be at the intersection of creativity performance and community. Thisrole blends storytelling with strategycapturing high-energy dance contentbuilding campaigns and amplifying Rebels presence across social plan produce and manage engaging digital content that representsRebels dance brand events and talent both online and at live trend-based TikToks to real-time event coverage your work will connectdancers worldwide to the Rebel movement.
What Youll Do
- Content Creation: Capture film and edit dance videos event highlights behind-the-scenes moments and reveals. Be on-site for a minimum of 5 shoots per month producing approximately 80% of all scheduled dance reveals.
- Social Strategy & Planning: Build and execute a tailored content calendar across Instagram TikTok Facebook and YouTube. Stay ahead of trends and algorithms to maximize reach and impact.
- Analytics & Performance: Track engagement growth and reach across platforms. Report monthly on performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Community Engagement: Actively interact with dancers fans and influencersresponding to comments DMs and mentions while fostering authentic digital relationships.
- Campaign & Event Promotion: Create dynamic content for dance events workshops reveals and competitions both before and after the curtain drops.
- Live Event Coverage: Post in real-time at competitions and activations ensuring energy and visibility stay high during and after each event.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative design events and retail teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment.
- Content Management & Talent Outreach: Maintain organized content archives scout rising talent and manage influencer collaborations including gifting and partnership terms.
Who You Are
- 13 years of experience in social media management digital marketing or dance media production.
- Dance experience requiredyou understand the language culture and energy of performance because youve lived it.
- Strong understanding of dance culture trends and performance communities.
- Highly creative with strong video editing and content production skills (Adobe Creative Suite Final Cut or similar tools).
- Organized detail-oriented and skilled at juggling multiple deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to shoots events and live activations.
Bonus Points
- Experience filming and editing for TikTok Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
- Previous experience working with dance studios performers or competitions.
- Familiarity with paid ad campaigns and influencer partnership management.
- Knowledge of analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite TikTok Analytics YouTube Studio etc.).
Working Conditions
This is a part-time contractor role based at Rebel AthleticHQ. Expect afast-paced environment with flexible scheduling during live event hours including evenings and weekends may be required during peakcompetition seasons.
