We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asset Information Technician to provide support for the Rangitkei Roading Maintenance contract. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of asset management functions including the management of asset data quality control and system integration.

As a Asset Information Technician you will play a key role in the collection management and verification of asset data. You will work closely with field staff and other stakeholders to ensure that the systems and processes related to asset information are efficient accurate and up to date. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to the successful implementation of data standards and asset management strategies that drive business decisions and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of asset data and assist in ensuring high data quality. Help set up hardware and software systems for data collection and provide training for field staff
  • Provide data for asset planning demand analysis and maintenance programs. Contribute to fault management ensuring that asset data is up to date for decision making
  • Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of data improvement plans and implement process improvement for data collection and transfer
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients addressing issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety policies ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Comply with Zero Harm policies and contribute to environmental and sustainability practices

To be successful in this role you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology or a related field is desirable
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in relational databases and data mining
  • Familiarity with GIS (Geographical Information Systems) is a plus
  • Knowledge of asset management principles and IT systems including data collection tools
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving improvements
