Job Description

Process Engineer Gloucester Gloucestershire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in Gloucester. This permanent role offers the chance to play a key part in driving optimisation efficiency and quality across complex production processes.

The Process Engineer will work within the Quality department and will be responsible for developing process controls reducing waste and ensuring high standards of performance across the value stream. Based in Gloucester the role will also involve supporting the introduction of new products and processes applying proven methodologies to strengthen production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:

  • Drive optimisation and continuous improvement within manufacturing processes in Gloucester.

  • Develop and maintain process controls PFMEA and Control Plans

  • Create and manage process maps to improve flow and reduce waste

  • Analyse and monitor production data recommending improvements

  • Support the introduction of new products and processes into the Gloucestersite

  • Contribute to Lean initiatives and improvement events

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolve process-related issues

  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory standards

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Significant Process Engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset

  • Working knowledge of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping SPC and 5S

  • Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork

  • Experience with APQP tools (PFMEA PPAP Control Plans) desirable
