Job Summary
Collaborate with US PD for product mechanical design intent development validation. Collaborate with cross function of ID EE functional team for product architecture keycomponent layout ergonomics. Conduct in-depth engineering research to get better understanding on critical designissue Design product structure & select material to fulfil product requirement and spec. Define spec of dimension and performance for component and product based ontolerance analysis risk assessment and engineering validation. Define design requirement and collaborate with technical operation team for productassembly with correct process (fixture equipment) to fulfil the requirement. Be able to review and study the metrology with quality team. Be able to manage and organize supplier and contract manufacturer to execute studyand validation and conduct statistics analysis to process data for judgement. Awareness of the engineering cost and be able to reduce design cost from technology standpoint. Skillfully conduct issue failure analysis and take corrective action to solve product and mechanical issue. Have strong leadership and ownership for mechanical design and issue resolution till product end of life. Highly passionate in engineering study and collaboration with cross function team.
- BS or MS degree in ME.
- 3 year experience in product design and manufacturing engineering.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Engineering skill - Tolerance analysis 3D CAD experience required(NX preferred)
- 2D drafting and GD&T
- Engineering fundamental - manufacturing FEA material science and statics
- Independent work under high pressure and tight schedule.
- Simulation with FAE knowledge and tool.
- Experience with various materials (research selection testing process ability)
- Demonstrated ability design for plastic soft part and metal with relevant manufacturing
- process (injection stamping CNC...).
- With data process and analysis ability with statistic tools (Minitab JMP...).
- Experience in team work with CM partners.
- Experience in design cycle from concept to manufacturing.
- Require up to 60% domestic and international travel to support product development.
