The Job
For our popular restaurant MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE we are currently recruiting Chefs in the beginning of their career.
As Commis Chef you uplift the guestsexperience during their visit in MR PORTER Steakhouse Amsterdam who is located in the W hotel behind the famous Dam square. We are looking for individuals who will have the patience personality and perseverance to thrive in this role. Our Commis Chef will assists with the preparation of the recipes concern the planning and making the orders ready. As a Commis Chef you assist the Chefs with the preparation production and cooking of food appropriate to the section to the required standard ensuring guest satisfaction. Other tasks are assist with the developing of garnitures cleaning the workplace working according the HCCP-method and assisting by the distribution of stocks when needed. We are looking for enthusiastic colleagues who are eager to learn. The ideal candidate is a team player is interested in working in a modern steakhouse and can be a true ambassador for the MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE brand.
Job requirements
Responsibilities
Assists with ensuring that all dishes are always freshly prepared and on time
Actively participate and assist the Chef de Partie / Head Chef and General Manager
Assists with ensuring that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
To strive to study relevant subjects in preparation to future advancement
Requirements
Flexible and hardworking
Physically fit
The ability to speak English
You are located in Amsterdam (or nearby)
