You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe American Indian & Indigenous Studies Program (AIIS) seeks a dynamic professional to join our team as a non-tenure-track Teaching Faculty. This position will teach two 3-credit courses per semester and two 3-credit summer addition they will serve as the academic advisor for students pursuing a certificate in AIIS.
In addition to home departments advisors in L&S are a part of an active advising community and interdependent system. During the academic year L&S advisors meet monthly as a consortium for information sharing and ongoing training. All L&S advisors also contribute to the campus Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) program for a couple weeks in summer and a few days in January to advise new L&S first-year and transfer students.
This position is onsite and full-time 100%.

The typical starting salary for this position is $60000 - $72000 depending on qualifications and experience. Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation holidays and paid time off; competitive insurance and saving accounts; and retirement benefits.
At least 3 years experience teaching at the college level and supervising teaching assistants
Experience with curriculum development and evaluation
Experience advising students
Ability to use technology effectively
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent written communication skills
Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries
Experience in using Canvas learning management system
Understanding of technological trends and integrating high-quality instruction across multiple modalities.
PhD required; focus in American Indian & Indigenous studies or close related field
