Client: Fidelity Investments
Location: Smithfield RI (Hybrid and looking for only local candidates)
Visa: No OPT
Internal notes:
Manager feedback from last 3 resumes: Candidates are more cloud engineering. We need someone with a good work history (on a project more than 6 months at a time) and that will be comfortable on this project that is based around legacy technologies. It will not be new and shiney cloud work.
Must Have Skills:
7 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering Data Warehousing and analytics technologies
5 years of experience with Informatica or any other ETL tools
5 years of exp in Shell scripting
5 years of experience with either Linux or AIX
7 years of experince with Oracle
Cobol: - Not coding in COBOL. However they need to understand COBOL code and ensure it works. How to compile and how to make it run.
Preferred:
AWSAzure or (Airflow) is preferred

Team Info:
We are seeking to migrate the IDA platform from IBM AIX to an on-premises Linux environment. This migration will encompass the transfer of Oracle databases as well as Cobol and Pro*C components. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining system integrity and performance.
Expected outcome:
Migrate the current IDA platform on IBM AIX to Linux. This includes
Cloning and compiling the code base ( Shell scripts COBOL Pro*C Oracle StoredProcedures & pacakges )
Install syncsort ( from Precisely) on Linux and compile the libraries in Linux.
Integrate syncsort libraries with Pro*C & Cobol and ensure reports run in the new environment.
Oracle Database migration
Informatica can load & process files
Ensure the 20 applications can connect to the IDA platform ( via Direct Connect JDBC SQL server integration services Python)
Establish OBIEE (PSW reporting) connectivity and run one report.

Quick 10 min screen with RD Same Day- Present to Client
Job Description:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science Engineering etc.) required.
7 years of hands-on experience in Data engineering data warehousing and analytics technologies
7 years of experience with Relational Databases (Preferably in Oracle)
Not moving but understand stored procedures
Advanced experience with SQL and complex queries (should be able to debug)
5 Experience with Informatica or any other ETL tools data integration and data movement design patterns (called via shell scripts)
5 Experience in Shell scripting (K-Shell Bash)
5 years of experience working on Linux and AIX (proficient in at least one of these)
Ability to understand and code in COBOL and Pro*C

Solid understanding of domain-based design data modeling and data structures
Experience with DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (understanding of DevOps)

Nice to have:
Experience with Python
Experience with Apache Tomcat
Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as OBIEE
Experience in AWS Azure Airflow is preferred.
Experience in CICD automation tools
Good understanding of financial services.
