Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee HEI Hotels & Resorts. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.

The Group Sales Manager at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor will group manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. They will be responsible for soliciting new group sales accounts entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms food beverage and room rental. This position will help in selling the hotel through a total hotel renovation & beyond building future business in our renovated spaces.

For this role the following requirements are preferred:
3 years of past sales experience ideally in Hotel Sales.
Marriott Hotel Sales & Systems (CI/TY) preferred.
Advanced knowledge of the Baltimore market market trends competition and key customers of the hotel.
Able to set priorities plan organize and delegate.
Must possess computer skills including but not limited to use of Microsoft Word Excel and CI/TY. Advanced knowledge of sales skills revenue management training and motivation of peers.
Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans security and safety programs personnel and labor relations preparation of business plans repairs maintenance budget forecasting quality assurance programs hospitality law and long-range planning.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences such as effectively communicating with supervisors coworkers public etc.
