The role
We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Windows & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support optimize and evolve our hybrid this role youll be responsible for the operation and improvement of core services including Windows Server Active Directory virtualization and foundational infrastructure components. Youll also bring cloud-related expertise that helps us explore and gradually adopt modern scalable infrastructure practices. Youll contribute to strategic IT projects enhance automation and ensure smooth operations of services that support thousands of users across the organization.

How youll make impact
Windows & Virtual Infrastructure You are responsible for the operation deployment and optimization of Windows Server environments including Active Directory Services and Fileservers. You ensure system stability performance security and compliance within a virtualized infrastructure based on VMware vSphere/ESXi.
Cloud Readiness & Modernization You bring cloud-related expertise to evaluate potential use cases and support the gradual adoption of cloud technologies. You help identify areas where cloud services can enhance our existing infrastructure and prepare the foundation for future transformation.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code You develop and implement scripts and automation workflows to streamline service requests infrastructure provisioning patching monitoring and lifecycle management.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting (2nd/3rd Level Support)You investigate diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests related to Windows Server virtualization platforms and other core infrastructure services ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining business continuity.
Technical Documentation and Knowledge SharingYou create update and maintain documentation at both the service and technical level ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
Whats important to us
Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration including Active Directory Group Policies and domain/forest structures
Experience with virtualization platforms ideally VMware vSphere/ESXi and a good understanding of virtual infrastructure management
Professional scripting skills to automate administrative tasks and support infrastructure-as-code practices
Understanding of cloud infrastructure principles especially Microsoft Azure and interest in supporting gradual cloud adoption
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring patching and lifecycle management practices
Analytical and structured approach to troubleshooting especially in 2nd-/3rd-level support scenarios
Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and contributing to technical enhancements
Able to create and maintain clear structured technical documentation
Committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices
Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus but not required
