Job Description
JOB TITLE: Cashier
JOB LOCATION:Ring Road Ibadan Oyo
JOB DETAILS:
- The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer payments providing excellent customer service and maintaining the cash register and till area in a clean and organized manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process Customer Payments:
ADVERTISEMENT
- Accurately process customer payments including cash credit cards debit cards and other forms of payment.
- Ensure that all transactions are entered correctly into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Issue receipts and provide change to customers.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Resolve any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer customer questions about the menu prices and restaurant policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist customers with ordering food and beverages as needed.
Cash Handling and Security:
- Follow all cash handling procedures to ensure the security of cash and other valuables.
- Maintain a clean and organized cash register and till area.
- Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the manager.
Other Duties:
- Assist with other restaurant duties as needed such as bussing tables refilling beverage stations and assisting other staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Positive and friendly demeanor.
Salary
N50000 N60000 monthly.
