RN Professional Development Specialist Full-Time 36 hours.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Development Specialist to elevate the clinical expertise of our healthcare team within the Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialty. This role blends clinical education with immersive simulation-based training offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of ENT care through innovation mentorship and strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver specialized training programs focused on ENT clinical practice including airway management perioperative care and patient education for conditions such as hearing loss sinus disorders and head and neck surgery.
Lead simulation-based learning experiences that replicate real-world ENT scenarios enhancing clinical decision-making procedural confidence and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Collaborate with internal and external partners including academic institutions clinical departments and professional organizations to develop cutting-edge educational initiatives and expand learning opportunities.
Mentor nurses residents and allied health professionals across ENT clinics operating rooms and procedural areas fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
Assess staff development needs and implement targeted strategies to strengthen competencies across otolaryngology subspecialties.
Incorporate evidence-based practices and emerging technologies into training programs to ensure relevance accuracy and impact.
Align educational efforts with organizational priorities working closely with leadership to support strategic goals and improve patient outcomes.
Evaluate and refine training effectiveness through feedback performance metrics and clinical results.
This role is ideal for a clinical educator with deep ENT experience and a passion for simulation-based learning interdisciplinary collaboration and driving innovation in specialty care.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred or a commitment to enroll within 2 years).
Certification or advanced training in Otolaryngology (ENT) or related specialty with demonstrated clinical expertise in ENT patient care.
510 years of clinical experience preferably in ENT or a closely related specialty; experience in critical care is a plus where applicable to ENT procedures and airway management.
Expertise in general medicine or specialty practice with a strong foundation in clinical education and adult learning principles.
Certified instructor in ACLS and PALS with hands-on experience delivering these courses in both classroom and simulation settings.
Exceptional leadership communication and organizational skills with the ability to mentor diverse teams and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Experience in simulation-based education including scenario development facilitation and debriefing ideally within ENT or procedural specialties.
Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
