What We Are Looking For


Someone to direct projects in Columbus OH; Cleveland OH; & several locations in PA

  • A Field Leader with the ability to:
    • Manage Project Superintendents and/or General Foreman in a multi-trade environment.
    • Supervise the field execution of multiple electrical construction projects to ensure compliance with project goals timelines and budgets.
    • Ensure that Project Field Teams are equipped to complete the work as scheduled within the budgeted hours at a high level of quality and in compliance with applicable codes.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standardized field reporting systems with a focus on accurately tracking percent complete forecasting labor productivity and aligning progress metrics across multiple projects for consistent project controls.
    • Ensure consistent field coordination with internal departments such as operations planning procurement fabrication and safety to support project needs.
    • Read and understand schedules for use in responsible planning and management exercises across multiple projects
    • Promote timely and effective support of the project management team in the RFI process
    • Ensure subcontractor relationships are managed similarly across the business unit specifically in regard to schedule milestones project scopes and safety requirements.
    • Participate in the yearly employee performance evaluation process giving accurate non-bias job performance appraisals setting goals creating expectations and offering constructive feedback
    • Review and interpret blueprints/shop drawings and other project documents to formulate effective labor strategies with the project leaders
    • Collaborate with the Workforce department to effectively identify recruit mentor and develop field leadership teams to build a professional high-performance accountable and collaborative culture.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the business unit field operations team and the local IBEW union. Ensure compliance with all terms of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Resolve labor disputes or grievances proactively. Coordinate labor resources efficiently based on project needs workload distribution and regional scheduling.
    • Collaborate with the project field safety and management teams on the hiring and onboarding of key field leadership roles within the region.
    • Ensure adherence to project requirements and the National Electrical Code (NEC) as well as other applicable local state and federal regulations throughout project execution.
    • Champion a proactive safety culture by promoting cooperation with the enterprise safety team in the creation of compliance strategies work practices quality standards and safety protocols across all assigned sites.
    • Lead a weekly meeting with Project Superintendents to understand general project progress project needs staffing issues current risks and schedule status
    • Drive uniformity of quality control procedures and installation techniques across the assigned business unit.
    • Coordinate project schedules manpower loading and critical path timelines across the business unit to achieve efficient use of available resources.
    • Identify risks to productivity or delays and collaborate with Project Managers and Project Superintendents to develop mitigation strategies.
    • Support client and trade partner relationships through jobsite visits to quickly identify document communicate and resolve issues related to scope schedule materials manpower quality control safety etc.
    • Act as a liaison between field teams and executive leadership regarding enterprise direction organizational performance and company milestones.
    • Provide weekly updates to the operations team in the Operations Meeting on regional performance labor utilization and jobsite progress.
    • Standardize field reporting practices across business units for accuracy and consistency.
    • Promote process improvement through the identification and communication of operational inefficiencies then implement best practices across the business unit.
    • Champion organizational initiatives such as Lean construction practices prefabrication strategies and planning integration.
    • Support executive leadership in assessing regional capacity bidding strategies and future workload forecasts.
    • Contribute to business unit development by supporting estimating efforts and participating in project pursuits when applicable.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Minimum of 7-10 years of field leadership experience in the electrical construction industry
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program accredited by a state federal or industry-recognized authority.
  • Data Center Healthcare Mission Critical Sports & Entertainment and Light Industrial experience
  • Experience managing a team of 5-9 field leaders (direct) and a team of 100-600 craft workers (indirect).
  • Ability to travel to multiple project sites and the Canonsburg headquarters as required to successfully meet the needs of the role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Bluebeam Microsoft Office Suite Navisworks Plangrid Procore Quickbase Remarcable SharePoint or similar systems)
