Job Summary:
The Student Formation Coordinator advances the Catholic mission of Divine Child High School by shaping a culture of virtue respect and joyful discipleship. The role integrates proactive formation restorative discipline disciplinary oversight and student support so that every student grows in faith character and responsibility. The Student Formation Coordinator reports to the high school Assistant Principal for Student Affairs and the Principal.

Essential Job Duties (Performs other related duties as assigned):
Culture & Formation
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission vision and core beliefs of Divine Child High School.
Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Support and adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of Detroit
Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies (as required)
Assist the School Life Team with leading a schoolwide vision for student formation rooted in Catholic teaching and the virtues.
Assist with the planning of formation programming with Campus Ministry and Counseling (retreats student programming parent nights) as needed.
Assist with coaching faculty on classroom culture preventive practices and consistent expectations.
Work with the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs to oversee day-to-day student conduct attendance and uniform standards with a formative restorative approach.
Work with the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs to design and execute tiered responses to behavior (reflection restitution mentoring loss-of-privilege restorative conferences) aligned with policy.
Assist the counseling team with coordinating and executing individualized student support plans and work with families for students with repeated or significant concerns.
Maintain timely accurate records (referrals interventions outcomes) in the student information system (PowerSchool).
Build trusting relationships with students; be a visible steady presence before school at lunches and during transitions.
Communicate regularly with families seeking partnership and clarity.
Collaborate closely with Campus Ministry to connect students to the sacramental and spiritual life of the school.
Ensure student conduct policies reflect Catholic anthropology are developmentally appropriate and are applied equitably.
Participate in the student threat/risk response with administration as needed.
Uphold diocesan/school policies for child protection mandated reporting confidentiality and crisis response.
Supervise students and coordinate programming for students serving in-school suspension and detention.
Assist the administration in supervising school common areas and student sections at extracurricular and athletic events.
Analyze culture data (attendance tardies referrals climate surveys) to drive improvement; report trends to leadership.
Assist with major school events (orientations dances assemblies) and support co-curricular life that fosters belonging.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
Successful experience in secondary education student life counseling campus ministry or related leadership.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive school culture and to manage student behavior with clarity and care.
Knowledge of restorative practices and developmentally appropriate discipline.
Excellent organizational and communication skills judgment discretion and follow-through.
The ability to keep confidentiality.
Preferred
Practicing Catholic in good standing; deep understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Masters degree in education educational leadership counseling or related field.

On-campus student-facing role with presence at arrival/dismissal lunches and events.
