ResponsibilitiesThe job holder is expected to make useful contributions to fulfil the Universitys vision and mission. Specifically the candidate is expected to:- Develop and lead an innovative research programme of international quality- Publish high quality papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals- Secure competitive research grants and develop research programmes- Supervise research personnel- Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate andpostgraduate levels- Supervise undergraduate and graduate students undertaking research projects.- Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles.- Contribute to other service-related activities assigned by School and University.- Contribute to professional services
RequirementsCandidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:- A Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering or in a relevant discipline with an outstanding scholarship record and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching.- Extensive knowledge of within his/her fields of research- Ability and strong drive to lead and contribute to inter-disciplinary research andlarge-scale projects for key applications- Evidence of a developing international reputation in his/her field of research for example fellowships awards invited presentations at international conferences journal editorships or otherwise.- Established track record of academic publications of international quality.- Proven track record of securing funding as Co-I or lead investigator.
