Position Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will focus ondesign and testingtransformersandinductors forourthreephasepowerproducts. The engineer is responsible for assisting in the design of new transformers for ETO (Engineered to Order) products. The engineer will work directly with production ETO Engineering quality and other departments as a technical advisor. Themagnetic designs range from 50kVA to over 1000kVA.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the design ofmagnetic componentsforpower distributionproductsincludingtransformers chokes other inductors and current transformers to meet specifications for power configuration size cost efficiency and manufacturability
Supportmanufacturinglinestodevelop fabricationandtesting techniquesformagnetic components
Testprototypecomponentstoverifycompliancewithspecifications
Analyzemagneticcomponent failurestodetermine rootcauseandcorrective action
Reviewnewmaterialsdesign andmanufacturingtechnologiesandrecommendadoption for promising technologies

Requirements:

BachelorsDegreeinElectricalEngineeringwithpower/magneticsemphasis
A minimum of two yearsrelevantexperience
In-depth knowledgeof theory andpracticeinmagnetic component design
FamiliaritywithFMEA
Thoroughknowledgeofagency and compliance (e.g. UL)requirementsformagnetic components
Goodwritten andverbalcommunicationsskills;Abilitytomanagemultiple assignments productively; Ability to work in a challenging team oriented environment
Abilitytocollaborateonaglobal scale
