LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America preferably working in hours that align to ET or PT.

Candidates located in Santiago Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago Chile will be fully remote employees.

THE ROLE:

Apply Digital is looking for an experienced Project Management Lead to join our team. You are a seasoned project leader with a background in digital agency or consultancy work focused on helping clients execute transformative digital initiatives across complex organizations. Youre deeply experienced in guiding cross-functional teams product design engineering to deliver impactful web and mobile app experiences.

As a natural mentor and strategic thinker you bring a mix of strong delivery management client-facing communication and a people-first leadership style. Youre passionate about digital strategy and execution and you help project managers and teams elevate their craft while consistently delivering business value for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & People Management:

    • Mentor coach and support a team of Project Managers (intermediate to senior) helping them grow professionally and consistently deliver high-quality work.
    • Create development plans lead career conversations and identify training opportunities to close skill gaps across the team.
    • Act as an escalation point for team-level project or interpersonal challenges applying a problem-solving mindset with empathy and accountability.
    • Foster a culture of psychological safety collaboration and continuous improvement.

Project Oversight & Strategic Delivery:

    • Oversee the delivery of complex multi-track digital projects guiding teams in translating business needs into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
    • Drive strategic planning risk management and cross-team alignment between product design engineering and client stakeholders.
    • Manage project budgets resource planning and scope control with support from senior PMs and program managers while maintaining delivery excellence.
    • Step into project-level leadership as needed to ensure excellence in execution or to troubleshoot key issues.

Client Partnership:

    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level client stakeholders acting as a strategic delivery partner.
    • Lead high-stakes conversations with composure facilitate decision-making and ensure clear communication of project outcomes.
    • Pro-actively manage expectations and maintain trusted advisor status with key clients.

Operational Excellence:

    • Advocate for and implement best practices in agile hybrid-agile and digital delivery methodologies adapting to the unique needs of each project.
    • Champion project management best practices implement and optimize delivery methodologies and maintain knowledge management systems.
    • Collaborate on resource planning and team capacity management to ensure balanced workloads and optimal project staffing.

REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience & Background: 8-15 years in digital project management with proven success in agency consultancy or professional services environments.
    • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Waterfall Kanban and Scrum methodologies combined with strong understanding of digital ecosystems (product strategy UX/design SDLC CI/CD QA DevOps).
    • Implementation Experience: Track record of leading end-to-end digital product and platform implementations across web and mobile including modern platforms (headless CMS eCommerce personalization identity platforms).
    • Leadership & People Management: Demonstrated ability to lead teams manage performance and foster professional development through mentorship and coaching.
    • Stakeholder Management: Experience navigating enterprise-level multi-stakeholder environments with composure and clarity.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into actionable plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Tools & Certifications: Proficiency in project management tools (Jira/Confluence Google Workspace Notion Smartsheet); professional certifications (Agile Scrum Master PMP) are a plus.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
    • Personal Qualities: A servant leader who is confident collaborative and empathetic with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive commitment to excellence.
