The Director Business Partnering APAC is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across the Asia-Pacific region. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders aligning business objectives with people and operational strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution with the agility to navigate the diverse cultural regulatory and market dynamics across APAC countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with leadership teams across APAC to shape and execute regional/local strategies aligned with global business goals.
- Provide thought leadership on organizational design workforce planning and change management.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on regional and local trends risks and opportunities.
Operational Excellence
- Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives tailored to country-specific needs.
- Ensure effective implementation of programs and policies across multiple functions and geographies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with HR Finance Legal and other corporate functions to ensure cohesive support for business units.
- Lead or support regional projects including M&A integration talent development and transformation initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with regional/country leaders and functional heads to understand business challenges and co-create solutions.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across markets.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local labor laws corporate policies and ethical standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in business partnering HR or strategy roles
- Has a strong generalist background that has in depth understanding of the end to end HR functions
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives in a matrixed multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working across multiple APAC countries or global stakeholder management
