About Us
At DVML were proud of our southern roots and passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences. We manage some of Dunedins most iconic venues including Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Dunedin Centre and were on the lookout for a Facilities Manager to lead the operational performance safety and compliance of our venues.
The Opportunity
As Facilities Manager youll be at the forefront of ensuring our venues are safe functional and event-ready. Youll oversee day-to-day maintenance technical operations and contractor management while playing a key role in supporting event delivery. From managing building systems and compliance to coordinating infrastructure for major events this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.
About the Role
Lead facilities operations across DVML venues including maintenance compliance and sustainability.
Manage contractor performance and ensure health & safety standards are met.
Support event delivery by coordinating infrastructure and temporary overlays.
Oversee building systems (BMS HVAC lighting fire systems) and utilities.
Contribute to budgeting procurement and long-term asset planning.
Champion sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
What Youll Bring
A qualification in Facilities Asset Management Engineering or equivalent experience.
5 years in a facilities or project-related role.
Strong knowledge of building systems compliance and maintenance planning.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage contractors and internal teams.
A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive solutions-focused approach and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours in line with event schedules.
