This position works in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department providing global manufacturing prototype hardware byutilizing various types of CNC machinery. The position will also support continuous improvements of our laboratory manufacturing processes. This individual will work in a highly motivated team environment to transform engineering designs into products that provide manufacturing solutions to our customers.

AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN YOU WILL:

  • Set-up and operateprecision CNC machinery to manufacture parts for customers.
  • Performprogram edits and adjustmachining parameters to ensure part quality.
  • Studyspecifications and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
  • Identifyand communicatedeviations from prints
  • Verifyconformance of finished work piece to specifications using various gauging methods.
  • Keepaccurate easy-to-read records of work performed and materials used.
  • Maintainsafe work habits and carefor all shop tools machines and equipment.
  • Presentcontinuous improvement ideas.
  • Help maintain cleanliness organization and safety of the facility and work area.
  • Staycurrent with technical changes through continuing education and training.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • High School Diplomawith a minimum of three (3) years CNC machining experience (mill andlathe) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical ability to move lift and/or push up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical ability to walk/stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift
  • Ability to safely use a wide variety of measuring tools and various tools associated with CNC machining
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with PC applications and the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Two (2) year technical degree in Manufacturing Technologies or Engineeringplus one (1) year of experience in a high-precision CNC machining environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CAD/CAM experience
  • Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Flexible Work Schedule

This role has the flexibility of a core hour schedule. You can choose your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise our air conditioning-related products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.
