Structural Engineer Stavanger
Start date: Urgent
Duration: 12 months
Location: Stavanger
Were supporting a leading offshore contractor in Stavanger who are urgently looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Structural Engineer. This is a senior-level role working on SURF and marine operations projects with a strong focus on sea fastening installation aids and subsea structure design. Youll be joining a fast-paced project environment with real scope to lead packages and contribute both onshore and offshore.
What You Will Be Doing
Perform structural engineering and design to sea fastening design design of installation aids subsea permanent structure
Produce structural engineering reports and drawings for fabrication and design items
Provide technical input into vessel design; e.g. deck strength & capacity
Follow up subcontractors for fabrication of equipment and installation aids
Provide input to dynamic installation analysis as required
Attend vessel mobilisations and/or offshore trips when required
Mentor junior colleagues
Who were looking for
510 yrs experience at senior/principal level
SURF / Marine Operations is essential
Experience with seafastening & installation aids design is essential
Experience with relevant standards codes and class requirements is required
Good knowledge of relevant material fabrication welding and testing requirements
Ability to step into a Package Lead role with a strong track record of managing and following up subcontractors delivering engineering services
Capable of supporting fast pace tender activities with rational approach using previous experiences
