The Process Engineer is responsible for leading the development optimization and control of key manufacturing processes to ensure consistent high-quality output and operational efficiency. This role involves ownership of critical processes support for cross-functional projects and mentoring junior engineers and technicians. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis structured problem-solving and strong collaboration with production quality and equipment teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and sustain ownership of designated production processes RF/DC test & TBE.
- Analyze process performance using statistical methods; drive improvements in yield cycle time and cost.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (RCA/CAPA) for quality issues.
- Champion continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma or other structured methodologies.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) with process qualification documentation and training.
- Collaborate with R&D equipment and quality teams to enhance process capability and robustness.
- Ensure process documentation (SOPs control plans FMEAs) is up-to-date and audit-compliant.
- Participate in audits (internal customer regulatory) and provide technical support as required.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians in technical problem solving and best practices.
- Monitor emerging trends and evaluate new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Electronics Mechanical Chemical or related).
- Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience in process engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment (semiconductor or electronics preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Expertise in SPC DOE FMEA and other statistical/process control methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of MES systems (e.g. CAMSTAR) data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab) and automation systems.
- Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO/IATF 16949 quality systems and reliability engineering.
- Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail with a proactive hands-on mindset.
- Ability to influence and lead change across functions and levels.
